SLJ - 1

Kia Ora,
Welcome to the "Summer Learning Journey" known as SLJ
I will be doing this years SLJ as I didnt last year and I wanted to this year as I did the spring learning journey and that was a load of  fun.
So this will be day one of the SLJ,
If you don't know the summer learning journey is like a website that you can go on and do blog posts on the actites they tell you and comments on other peoples aswell, like this is 4 points this blog post, Here is the website LINK
I won't be able to do all of them as I am very busy these holidays but I will try and do these in my spare time as I think it's important.
But here is the activity for today:

Now here is my answer:

Thanks for watching/ reading,
This was day one.
Are you doing the SLJ?
How can I improve?
Well until next time when I can do it

  1. Good afternoon Grace,

It's awesome to see your have posted your first Summer Learning Journey blog post. I look forward to reading and commenting on your posts over the summer.

What a bright and colourful slide you created for you list of food items. I love all the colours you have used, it makes your slide really stand out.

Water is a great one to remember on a trip that long as you can't live for very long without it. Have you thought about where you would store all the fruits and ice cream you have chosen as there would be no fridge or freezer? Dried fruit is another great alternative you could take that doesn't need to go in a fridge.

Until next time, happy blogging :)

    1. Hi Emma.
Thanks for commenting and thanks for all of the feedback.
I would maybe take it into a bag.
And yes I chose ice cream as it melts it could be a drink. And you can never have enough drinks like water..

      Thanks again

  2. Hi there Grace, It's Abby from school. I see that you are also doing the SLJ, the challenge is on.

I like the way that you gave an explanation of why you want each item and how they benefit you.

This reminds me of my activity when I did this and did some similar things but then some really different things.

Did you consider tropical fruit or canned fruit because they won't go off that fast compared to bread, cake, grapes and chips. Because even though they taste good, they won't be good for a long journey.

What is your favourite food for long trips?
Where do you imagine that you are going?

    Kind regards,
    Abby.

    1. Hi Abby.
      Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for all of the feedback.
Next time I will rethink some of them and that's a good idea.
My favourite food to take on a long trip would be chips or bread
And what I think maybe a small island and water all around it and just a few pom trees.
      Thanks again

  3. Hello Grace,
Its me Alan. I did not know you was in the summer learning journey.

Excellent job Grace. I really liked how you made the presentation.

This reminds me of when I did this but I did not do it like a presentation.

If you want to improve maybe you can write more so that we can know more and by the way there is a mistake because water is not a food item.
    Awesome work!
Looking forward to your next posts,
    Kind regards
    Alan
