Arthur's Pass Camp

                                                                              Kia Ora,

Today I will be showing you my camp experience, for the class we had to make episodes, but since I was in student summit and others were too, we couldn't do all the different blog posts, so I made a DLO with all of the activities and photos.

As well what I didn't explain in the slide deck, that we got campers cash, basically our Teacher designed this pieces of paper and had the word campers cash, you got them when you did something like, try something new and do all different types of things, and the parent helpers gave some ot too, and then we got to collect them, and then today 23rd september we do a auction on all different types of toys or things that you can buy with your campers cash,  Here's the slidedeck .

Overall, My feelings for camp: I think that camp was so much camp, last years camp I went to Wellington, this camp was so different, in wellington it was more relaxed I guess I could say but not in a bad way, at Arthur's Pass we did so many cool and fun activities (We did in Wellington too) but Arthur's Pass was so much outdoor, and was super good. It was one of the best camps ever I have been to.

Have you been to Arthur's Pass?

Have you been on camp?

What's your favourite camp you have been to? Why?

If you got to chose to go to anywhere for a camp where would you go? Why?

Until next time,

BYE

Online Student Summit?!

Kia Ora,
Today was Student Summit,
It was online!
If you don't know student summit is where you get a website and present it to others, and normally do it at South Hornby School, but this year was on a google meet,
We still had teams presenting but all the other students get to go on the google meet links and join their meets and go o the website as they explain.

I got to present we my friend Abby.
Then I got to join 3 others, so I will be explaining the sessions I got to do.
Here it is:

Session one:
Pear Deck
It was sort of confusing, it was because my microphone was glitching I little bit so it glitched out some of them, so I didn't get to finish the slide, the only thing I got to do was make the front cover and then a second slide with only a little bit, pear deck is just a add on, on google slides, So this one I won't be inserting anything

Session two:
Easel.ly (My presentation)
I think my one went well, I think that it was pretty good because most of the people got the hang of it and didn't get too confused but some other people did too, and then some people had issues with the their microphone.

Session three:
Miro
I think this one was better than the first because I actually get to mke it, but they had to go because they went a bit off track and then they couldn't finish because the time ran out.
They explained it well with the time being.
But here is it

Session four:
Biteable (Last session)
This one was super good, although some people were singing and not doing ht they were told, I have used biteable a lot and I used it for my website last year for the Student Summit, and I chose to see if there is anything else I could learn about it, I made a biteable about otters because they said make it about anything you want to.
Here it is
Overall thoughts:
I think this year was very different, it was online, it was hard to explain and like helping and not being able to explain in real life, it was a challenge but a good challenge to do, it helped me with if this happened again say we went into lockdown, it helped me with presenting if I needed to.
Overall it was different but super fun to have a go at.

Until next time,
Bye.
