So here is the activity :
My Dad grew up in england, some of the french people went to england, I guess my dad liked the way they spoke and wanted to learn french, So As I grew up my dad spoke a little tiny bit of french, But now he mostly forgotten it (OOPS)
but most of these I have learnt from google :)

Thanks for watching/reading
I hope you enjoyed,
I think this was a fun Idea to do, and good activity to test your languages.
Did you know any languages?
If so what language?
What's your favourite phrase.

  1. Bon jour Grace!
Comment allez-vous? Je vais bien. Bon travail!
I am glad you enjoyed doing this. I like learning languages too. I found if I spoke a little of the local language wherever I went, people would appreciate the effort and help me. Being able to say Hello, please, thank you and sorry (especially) helped. I was able to do this in Italian, French, Te Reo, Polish, Norwegian but unfortunately have forgotten most of it.
I like the sound of 'I'm sorry' in French, it sounds so sad and 'excuse me' in Polish is cute.
Did you mean you Dad was born in England? They speak English, as do we.
    Have fun,
    Ms L

    1. Hi Miss Lange,

I did agree if you speak a little bit of the language from the country they come from they appreciate the effort and how you tried to make an effort,

I didn't know you knew so many languages, I wish I knew that many, But I mean practice makes perfect

I did to go back and fix my mistake (Which I will after I finish this)
I need to add more detail, what I meant is that:
My Dad grew up in england, some of the french people went to england, I guess my dad liked the way they spoke and wanted to learn french, So As I grew up my dad spoke a little tiny bit of french, But now he mostly forgotten it (OOPS)

I will go back and fix that

  2. Bon jour Grace.

C'est merveilleux que tu en as appris francais.
(I hope this is: It is wonderful that you have learnt some French.)

I have been trying to learn French for several years. I go to French lesson once per week during term time. I may not have learnt much French but I have certainly learnt how hard it is to learn a language at my age.

I hope that you decide to learn another language as it gives you great insight into how English works as well as opening up the cultures of other countries.

    Kind regards
    Mr R

  3. Bon jour I am Hayley from Kumara school.
I like how you did the translation in French to English. Some times I like to say Bon jour to people.
    Keep it up
    Hayley:)
